"As Republicans celebrate the grand opening of their campaign headquarters in Lake Oswego tonight, I'd like to know what is the state GOP actually celebrating?
The fact that their presidential nominee John McCain has admitted he doesn't understand economics and has pledged to keep troops in Iraq for 100 years? Or the fact that their state's standard bearer, Gordon Smith, has voted down the line with Bush to limit a woman's right to choose, to provide tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas and to favor the special interests over Oregon's working families?
Or will they be celebrating Gordon Smith's discredited ad where he falsely and with zero substantiation claims to have earned Barack Obama's praise?"
