Get Active
There are lots of ways to be an active Democrat:
-
Become a Neighborhood Leader
Neighborhood leaders are the primary organizers in their immediate neighborhoods. They are the backbone of the 2008 campaign, in all 50 state and in all 36 counties of Oregon.
- Become a Precinct Committee Person
Get elected to a public office! It's easy and free! PCPs vote in party meetings and elect party officers.
Deadline to file: 70 days before the election.
-
In Oregon, you register by party, and must be registered 21 days before an election. Only Democrats can vote in a Democratic primary election. You can change your registration at any time by re-registering, at your county elections office or at any DMV office.

Volunteers work to get Democrats elected to office and to keep the party running on a daily basis.
