Oregon Exceeds Diversity Goals For Democratic National Convention
Portland - Oregon's delegation to the Democratic National Convention in Denver has met or exceeded every DPO and DNC diversity representation goal.
"Oregon's delegation reflects the diversity of our state and our party," DPO Chair Meredith Wood Smith said. "Equality is a proud cornerstone of the Democratic Party and I'm so pleased our delegation embodies our values."
Denver will host the national convention from August 25-28.
The below representation goals only serve as guides for Democratic voters and are not mandatory requirements. In order for the delegation to accurately reflect Oregon's Democratic electorate, the goals and results were as follows:
